Project details
At the National Theatre we supported a new play by Alexander Zeldin ‘Faith, Hope and Charity’. Premiered at the Dorfman in September 2019, this is the third in his trilogy of plays (‘The Inequalities’) about community and austerity in contemporary Britain.
In June 2021 Alex Zeldin took his production to international audiences, despite the many challenges presented by the Coronavirus pandemic. Performances at l’Odéon-Théâtre de l’Europe in Paris received an excellent review in Le Monde, comparing the play to ‘The Cherry Orchard’.
As a Visiting Artist at the 2021 Wiener Festwochen, Alexander Zeldin was invited to present all three of his plays for the first time as ‘The Inequalities’.
